The American One Republic pop rock band was formed in Colorado Springs in 2002. Its current members are Ryan Tedder – lead vocalist, Zach Filkins – guitarist, Drew Brown – bassist, Brent Kutzle – cellist and Eddie Fisher – drummer. The band had a bumpy start and was dropped by Columbia Records in 2005 two months before their first record, Dreaming Out Loud, was released. In 2007, the band managed to release its debut album with its lead single, Appologize, being remarkably remixed by Timbaland. The song was number one in 16 countries and even brought the band a Grammy. Other successful singles signed by One Republic are Stop and stare, Counting stars and Wherever I go from their 2016, fourth studio album, Oh My My.

Tailor Swift is one of the most popular female singers and songwriters of our time. She started her musical career at 14 in Nashville and she released her first album at 17, in 2006. It reached number 5 in Billboard 200 and was in the charts for most weeks in the 2000s. She also became the youngest person to write and perform a number one song in the Hot Country Songs chart. Her second album, Fearless, was the 2009 best-seller. It won four Grammy Awards.
The following three albums were met with just as much enthusiasm and have secured the artist and unshakable fan base. Therefore, she appeared in Time’s 100 most influential people of the world in 2010 and 2015, in Forbes 100 most powerful women in 2015 and in Forbes’ Celebrity 100.

Maroon 5 is the name given to the band in 2001, when the boys underwent an image and general direction change. The band previously called Kara’s Flowers, was established in the 90s when the musicians were still in high school. The current band consists of lead vocalist Adam Levine, lead guitarist James Valentine, keyboarding Jesse Carmichael, bassist Mickey Madden, drummer Matt Flynn and keyboarding PJ Morton. The first album released as Maroon 5 was Songs about Jane from 2002. The same album went platinum in 2004 and in 2005 it brought them the Grammy for Best New Artist. The band is currently working on its sixth studio album.

Fall Out Boy

The members of Fall Out Boy came together in 2001. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Peter Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley. Their first album, Take This to Your Grave, released in 2003, was an underground success. Heavy touring helped the band get a loyal fan base and moderate commercial success. From Under the Cork Tree was the band’s major label breakthrough and got them nominated for Best New Artist at the 2006 Grammy Awards. The 2007 Infinity on High album established their success with a first position in the Billboard 200.

The band hit a bump in the road and had a tough time from 2008 to 2013. In 2013 they released Save Rock and Roll and had their second career success. American Beauty/American Psycho, released in 2015, was the band’s third No. 1 album.

Alecia Beth Moore, also known as Pink, released her debut solo album in 2000. It was called Can’t Take Me Home and it went double-platinum in the US. The collaboration on Moulin Rouge’s Lady Marmelade song gave her first Grammy Award and her first no. 1 single in the Billboard Hot 100. Mizunderstood, her second pop-rock album sold more than 15 million copies. Apart from the 2003 Try This album which performed below expectations, her next albums, I’m Not Dead (2006), Funhouse (2008) and The Truth About Love (2012) pushed her right back on top. Apart from her music awards, three Grammys included, Pink was awarded Woman of the Year 2013 by Billboard and VH1 ranked her 10 out of 100 of the greatest women in music.
